Karen Golatt
Karen Golatt is an Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) certified Personal Trainer and a USATF certified coach and official for youth track and field. She has coached track and field for youth for 12 years in a local PVA (Potomac Valley Association) club combined with a successful personal training career.

Karen’s experience as a fitness professional includes but is not limited to conducting personal training sessions for corporate, private, and group sessions and clients. She has also directed fitness programs, workshops and fit camps for support group services at Whitman Walker, DCPS Ward 8 teachers and parents (under Mayor Fenty’s Health and Fitness Initiative), along with developing a physical fitness evaluation for children living with HIV/AIDS (Pediatric AIDS/HIV Care, Inc.). Her experience spans working with other fitness professionals to aid the health and wellness goals of others by organizing grocery store tours and nutrition lectures. Karen is currently conducting a fit camp for youth at a local summer camp under her non profit organization, People Fit, Inc and hopes to bring her passion for the young athlete, the desiring athlete, and the older athlete to the fitness center.

Rich Guzman
Rich is a certified personal trainer with several years of experience. Rich is a friendly, supportive trainer that will help you every step of the way.

Brian Samson
Brian is currently a senior exercise science major at George Mason University. Personally he has lost 107 lbs with a starting weight at 304 lbs. He is currently working on becoming a certified strength and conditioning specialist under the NSCA. He likes to incorporate both strength and cardio training into his workouts and combines both with other physical activities like martial arts when training clients.

Ulysses Thomas
Ulysses is a certified personal trainer through the National Aerobics Fitness Trainer Association (NAFTA). He is also a Master Trainer in the U.S. Army and Adult CPR/First Aid Certified. Ulysses has a passion for fitness and is able to help is client reach their goals through coaching, motivation, and friendly support.

Angie Trinka
Angie leads a very active lifestyle and keeps in great condition through many fitness activities, including skiing, rollerblading, tennis, and martial arts.  She is a certified personal trainer through National Aerobics Fitness Trainer Association (NAFTA), a Master Trainer for WTS, and aerobics instructor, and CPR/First Aid Certified.  Angie keeps a very flexible schedule and helps her clients reach their goals through teaching the importance of weights training and cardiovascular exercise.  She is extremely motivating and determined to help her clients reach their goals...just ask any of her clients!  Over 99 percent of them have achieved their weight and/or fitness goals!  Numerous clients have continued with her for years.

Laura Greeson
As an athlete, teacher and mom, fitness and wellness are an integral part of Laura's life.  She takes her experience of running 5K's to marathons and completeing triathlons to the highest level by transforming her training knowledge to helping her clients achieve their fitness goals.  Laura has experience working with people from all walks of life.  She even volunteers to coach Lane Elementary School's afterschool running program called "Lions on the Run".  She helped the student's learn about dynamic and static stretching along with the children learning to lead a healthy lifestyle through running/walking for fitness.

Even if you don't know what your goals should be, she can help you find out.  Laura is a patient and caring trainer who enjoys working closely with her clients to set realistic goals.  She believes that by making fitness fun, clients are able to make a life changing and lifelong commitment to getting fit and staying fit.

LaSaun Taylor
LaSaun is an AFAA Certified Personal Trainer with a B.A. in Psychology from George Mason University.  She received the Top Trainer Production Award at Gol'd Gym of Alexandria in 2006 and 2007.  LaSaun is a RKC (by Pavel Tsatsouline) and a KBC Kettleball Instructor.  She specializes in functional training, weight loss motivation and nutrition.

Wesley McKee
Wesley's experience includes sports training camp counselor, senior aerobics instructor, Hapkido training, and a competitive athlete.  His fitness proficiencies include strength training, fitness monitoring, functional and sports specific training, cardiovascular conditioning, client consulation and personal motivation.  Wesley is a NESTA Certified Personal Fitness Trainer.  He is a performance driven health and wellness professional with an extensive knowledge in human biology, as well as sports training.  Goal oriented, ready to be the best in the health and fitness field as a trainer, motivator and business professional.

Fit Teens
If you or your child is between the ages of 13 and 16 years old and would like to exercise in the fitness centers unaccompanied, you may participate in our Fit Teens program. Sessions with a personal trainer will teach you or your child about proper gym etiquette and fitness. Please call the fitness centers for details!
