Highlights of the October 2, 2007 Meeting

Voted to take corrective action for yard maintenance violations against the owners of 26 homes if the violations are not corrected by the deadline dates already provided to the homeowners.
Approved the 2008 Operating Budget for the association. The homeowner assessments will be as follows: General $46; Town houses/Single-family homes $80. (See page 7 and 9 in the Kingstonian for more details.)
Approved the renewal of the publishing contract with Marlborough Publishing for the Kingstonian.
Approved a two-year extension of the fitness management contract with WTS.
Reviewed a long standing plan concerning the addition of office space in the Kingstowne Towne Center and ratified a letter to the Fairfax County Planning Commission.
Reviewed a homeowner’s email from the Breighton neighborhood concerning a parking issue.
Reviewed a fine waiver request from the Terrington neighborhood concerning a yard maintenance violation.
Reviewed a fine waiver request from the Dunwich Square neighborhood concerning a maintenance violation.
Awarded a contract for the renovation of the Thompson Center first floor, including the entryway, foyer, ballroom, kitchen, fireplace room and sunroom.
At the recommendation of legal counsel, took action on a personnel issue.
