KROC BOARD MEETING HIGHLIGHTS

Board of Trustees

Highlights of the May 2, 2007 Meeting 

KROC Governance

• The board meeting opened with a presentation and discussion with the community neighborhood advisory board (NAB) representatives and committee members concerning a new governance model for consideration by the Kingstowne Board of Trustees.  A slide show detailing the Policy Governance model was briefed to the community volunteers, and questions were addressed.     

Architectural

• Reviewed and approved yard maintenance violations (72) contingent on the property owner not bringing property into compliance by the deadline dates.

Budget

• Approved the renewal of the Directors & Officers Insurance.
• Approved the replacement of folding chairs for the South and Thompson Centers and replacement tables for the South Center.
• Approved a detailed list of street repairs and paving work that has been projected to be performed in 2007.

Homeowner’s Forum

• Received an email expressing thanks to Brian Oviatt for his program of karate to the Kingstowne community.

Other Business

• Declared support of the Kingstowne Soccer Association, a newly formed local youth soccer association.  The association plans to conduct year-round programs in the Kingstowne area.
• Approved continuing support to a legal firm to provide consulting services related to storm water management responsibilities/liability in Kingstowne.

The next KROC Board of Trustees meeting will be held on June 6, 2007.
