Board of Trustees
Highlights of
the July 11, 2007 Meeting
- The board accepted a
deed of reservation that gives the authority to Fairfax County to re-subdivide
a parcel of land adjacent to the Northampton
neighborhood. The parcel is required for the future construction of the
planned interchange at the intersection of Van Dorn and Franconia Road. For

In other action, the board
- Voted to take corrective
action for yard maintenance violations against the owners of 16 homes if the
violations are not corrected by the deadline dates already provided to the
homeowners.
- Approved renewal of the
insurance package provided through Nationwide.
- Took action to allow
residents to sponsor non-resident “guests” at KROC fitness and recreation
programs. KROC residents will continue to have priority for signup of these
activities. This decision will be reviewed in six months.
- Took action to approve
revisions to the Dunwich Square parking plan concerning the availability of
unassigned spaces.
- Approved modification to
administration resolution No. 1 (Homeowners Fee Policy), concerning account
balances and late fees charging an administrative fee to cover the expense
associated with the processing of the notice.
- Approved an
administrative resolution for dealing with destroyed homes within the
community.
- Received an email
regarding fees charged to an account with an outstanding balance.
- Appointed Jeanne
McCarroll as the board liaison to the Election Committee in KROC’s upcoming
annual elections.
- Reviewed a resident’s
email requesting an appeal for the cost of lawn maintenance
services preformed on the property.
- Reviewed an email from a
resident concerning the removal of a fallen tree on private property.
- Heard a presentation from
the Kingstowne Soccer Association regarding a proposal to build a
Multiple Activity Center in partnership with
Kingstowne Residential Owners Corporation.
Appointed
Budget Committee Chairman Gary Ezard to fill a vacancy on the board.
