Meeting Minutes
July 18, 2007

J. D. Gray called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm
REVIEW OF MINUTES:
Motion to accept the minutes for the June ARC meeting. The motion carried unanimously.
Motion to approve the application for the front door and storm door. The storm door is approved with the condition that it be almond in color to match the door trim. The motion carried unanimously.
Motion to approve the application for the shed. The motion carried unanimously.
Motion to approve the application for Option 2 exterior light fixtures. The motion carried unanimously.
Motion to approve the application for the garden and storm door. The motion carried unanimously.
07-236 Cap Trim and Garage Door
Motion to approve the application for the cap trim and the garage door. The garage door is approved with the condition that the color, number and style of panels match the existing garage door. The motion carried unanimously.
07-247 Awning
Motion to defer the application for the awning and request more documentation from the homeowner. The motion carried unanimously.
Motion to approve the application for the fence with the condition that it be treated with only clear stain or preservative that allows the natural wood grain to be visible. The motion carried unanimously.
07-237 Replace Windows
Motion to approve the application for replacement windows with a recommendation that the windows have grids similar to those used in the original construction. The motion carried unanimously.
07-266 Tree Removal, Screening and Window
Motion to approve the application for the tree removal, screening and window. The screening was approved with the conditions that it be six feet high from the floor of the deck and extends a maximum of eight feet from the rear of the home. The screening should be treated with only clear stain or preservative that allows the natural wood grain to be visible. The motion carried unanimously.
07-238 Replace Roof
Motion to approve the application for the replacement roof. The motion carried unanimously.
07-251 Window Replacement and Door Replacement
Motion to approve the application for window replacement and door replacement with the condition that the window trim and the door match the existing color of the home The motion carried unanimously.
07-230 Shed
Motion to approve the application for the shed. The motion carried unanimously.
07-265 Replace Windows
Motion to approve the application for the replacement windows with a recommendation that the windows have grids similar to those used in the original construction. The motion carried unanimously.

07-234 Awning
Motion to deny the application for the awning because the awning is not compatible with the color of the house. The motion carried unanimously.
07-240 Shed
Motion to deny the application for the shed because it was taller than the allowable six feet. The motion carried unanimously.

Motion to approve the application for the shed. The motion carried unanimously

07-248 Deck
Motion to approve the application for the deck. The motion carried unanimously.
07-242 Steps with Walkway
Motion to approve the application for steps and patio The approval is contingent that the excavation not negatively affects the drainage to neighboring properties and common ground and that only neutral natural colored stones, rocks, bricks or pavers are used. The approval is also on the condition that the steps are gray adhering to the neighborhood standard. The motion carried unanimously.
07-255 Replace Deck
Motion to approve the application for the deck with the condition that it be treated with only clear stain or preservative that allows the natural wood grain to be visible. The motion carried unanimously.
07-246 Tree Removal
Motion to approve the application for the tree removal with the condition that the tree be replaced with a small species that is more suitable for the location. The motion carried unanimously.
07-256 Tree Removal
Motion to approve the application for the tree removal with the condition that the tree be replaced with a small species that is more suitable for the location. The motion carried unanimously.
07-273 Driveway Extension
Motion to approve specific elements of the application for a driveway extension. The retaining walls on both sides of the driveway and the concrete repair were approved. Clarification is being requested on the rest of the project. The motion carried unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS:
James Jeweler presented information on rain barrels and offered a draft guideline for introduction of rain barrels into the community.
Motion to delegate staff to approve applications for temporary/Rubbermaid type sheds that clearly demonstrate adherence to the architectural guidelines. The motion carried unanimously.
Motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:50 pm. The motion carried unanimously.
