Dear Neighbor,

We would like to invite you to an information meeting on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at 7:30pm at the Snyder Center (6450 South Van Dorn Street, Alexandria, VA 22315) to discuss proposed changes to the inside of the Jefferson Funeral Chapel.  We feel it is critical to keep an open dialogue with the community and value your input. 

We want to continue to provide the upmost in professional services to the families we serve and believe there are ways that we can achieve these objectives.  One such improvement would be the approval of an embalming room to the site.  In the past we have experienced public displeasure from families who have found out that their loved ones are taken to another location for the procedure.  During this emotional time, we want to accomodate all concerns and needs of our customers; adding an embalming room would do just that.

Other than the use, there would be no visible changes or expansions to the building or the site.  In addition, this change would reduce trips on South Van Dorn Street that we have to make to transport individuals to and from the Chapel.

It is very important to us that we continue to provide our services to the best of our abilities.  We believe this change will help alleviate any concerns about loved ones being transported to alternate locations for different procedures.
