DECEMBER ARC HIGHLIGHTS

Members Present:                     J. D. Gray, James Jeweler, Baxter Lawrence, Paul Lindell, Vickie Parshall and Sarah Wagner

 J. D. Gray called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm

REVIEW OF MINUTES:

Baxter Lawrence moved to accept the minutes for the November 2007 ARC meeting.  Jim Jeweler seconded the motion.  The motion carried unanimously.

APPEAL REVIEW:

00-152             Deck with Iron Railing

J. D. Gray moved to uphold the original approval of the deck that required that the metal portions be covered with wood.  Baxter Lawrence seconded the motion.  The motion carried unanimously.

                        5695 Tower Hill Circle Trees

J. D. Gray moved not to grant a wavier for the row of Leyland Cypress trees installed on the property.  The trees are expected to grow to a height of 60-70 feet and a width of 35 feet.  Baxter Lawrence seconded the motion.  The motion carried unanimously.             

APPLICATION REVIEW:

MAJORS:           

07-418             Gas Grill with stone/veneer wall

J. D. Gray moved

to approve the gas grill and stone veneer wall.  The approval is contingent that only neutral, natural colored brick, stone and pavers are used and that the modifications do not negatively affect neighboring properties and common ground.  Wood portion should only be treated with clear stain or preservative that allows the natural wood grain to be visible.  Baxter Lawrence seconded the motion.  The motion carried unanimously.

07-417             Fence                      

J. D. Gray moved to approve the application for the fence with the condition that it is treated with only clear stain or preservative that allows the natural wood grain to be visible and that the excavation not negatively affects the drainage to neighboring properties and common ground.   Vickie Parshall seconded the motion.  The motion carried unanimously.

07-419             Garage Door                                                                            

J. D. Gray moved to approve the application for the garage door with the condition that the color of the replacement door matches the color of the existing door.  Paul Lindell seconded the motion.   The motion carried unanimously.

07-422             Drainage Box with Patio

J. D. Gray moved to approve the application for the drainage box and patio with walkway.  The approval is contingent that the stone and pavers used are neutral natural color and that the excavation not negatively affects the drainage to neighboring properties and common ground.  It was noted that the approval did not include alterations to the common ground or cutting of any curbs.  Baxter Lawrence seconded the motion.   The motion carried unanimously.

07-409             Garage Door            

Vickie Parshall moved to approve the application for the garage door.  Baxter Lawrence seconded the motion.   The motion carried unanimously.

07-424             Patio, Hot Tub and Garage Door

J. D. Gray moved to approve the application for the patio, hot tub and garage door.    The approval is contingent that the stone and pavers used are neutral natural color and that the excavation not negatively affects the drainage to neighboring properties and common ground.    J.D. Gray seconded the motion.   The motion carried unanimously.

07-407             Lighting

Vickie Parshall moved to approve the application for the lighting.     J. D. Gray seconded the motion.   The motion carried unanimously.

New Business:

Staff engaged the committee in discussion of the violation process for exterior lighting and vehicles. 

J. D. Gray moved to adjourn the meeting at 9:05 pm.  Paul Lindell seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously.
